Hodges Chapel open for tours
A variety of worship services takes place in Hodges Chapel throughout the year.  The Beeson Divinity School community and the wider Samford community gather each Tuesday during the semester for its weekly chapel service.  Other events take place in the chapel throughout the year such as Beeson Pastors School, and endowed lecture series.   Hodges Chapel is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday mornings, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon, for tours, for personal prayer and meditation.  Beeson is an inter-denominational Divinity School, and the doors of Hodges Chapel are open to welcome all visitors.  Tours can be requested through the Office of the Curator (205.726.2227) or online.  May Jesus Christ’s invitation to, “ Come unto me all who are heavy laden, and I will refresh you”, offered through his gift of true hospitality, born of sacrifice, mercy and love be found by all who enter this sacred place.

Chapel will be closed on university holidays.

Regina Carter and Southern Comfort

The Wright Center stage will be transformed into a jazz cabaret on March 23 for an intimate concert with Regina Carter and Southern Comfort. Ms. Carter is considered by many to be the foremost jazz violinist of her generation and has received numerous awards, including the MacArthur Fellowship, for her signature musical voice and style. Her newest album “Southern Comfort” is her most personal yet, using her family’s history as the focal point on a musical journey through the South. For this performance, the audience will be seated on the stage, creating an atmosphere that promises to make this an amazing evening of music.
